If you are leaving NZ permanently we require the start and finish dates and the names of all your employers. Wage slips are great if you have them, but we should be able to gather this information for you. You need a confirmed date and fully paid itinerary from a Travel Agent showing this departure date.

You will be required to provide details of the rental Income and investment property expenses. Losses from the investment property will be offset against your salary income and you can get a substantial refund.

We deduct fees as per the schedule (please refer to our fees schedule) and our fees are affordable. Our fees are 100 % deductible expenses. This means you can claim the expense against your income = more refund. Yes. Anyone can talk to the IRD about their own tax affairs. Remember if you owe them money you will be obliged to pay it. The IRD suggest you speak to an accountant or tax agent such as ourselves to get quick results rather than waiting on the telephone queue.

Refunds will be transferred from our Trust Account directly into your bank account. In some circumstances, we are able to post a cheque. This will add approximately 7 days to the time taken. Should you wish to collect the cheque you will need to bring in photo ID if you are a new client to us.
Our office processed the refund the same day the signed application is received. Clear funds are usually into your account within 5 to 10 working days. Any delays will be from the Inland Revenue Department. At different times of the year, they have many returns to process, therefore there could be a delay. It is essential that all information is accurate and complete to speed up the process.
